How to choose my BAYA mat?

At BAYA, we have developed several ranges to help you find the right mat for your asana! So that you can find YOUR range, here is a quick summary:

INTENSE®: perfect for your sweaty flows thanks to their sweat-wicking microfibre coating. The natural rubber makes it nicely dense and gives you stability during your practice. Available in 3 mm and 1 mm.

SOFT®: perfect for slow and gentle practices or if you tend not to sweat during your practice (dry skin). They are thick and lightweight to give you optimal comfort. Made in Germany with OEKO-TEX certified materials. Available in different sizes and thicknesses: meet our SOFT® Classic - 5mm and SOFT® Kids - 5mm mats.

NATURAE®: perfect for all practices and all skin types. Dense, natural, and lightweight for optimal comfort. Made in Portugal with Vegan certified natural materials. This range is available in Cork Classic  - 4 mm.

How to clean my mat?


We sweat on it, we take it everywhere with us, we put our feet, our hands, our forehead ... it is essential to clean our mat!

So if you have missed the small notice with your mat, here is a small reminder of how to clean your carpet according to its range:

For the INTENSE® and NATURAE® mats: clean it after each session with our water, essential oils, and alcohol-based spray. Your mat will be clean and will smell delightfully good!

For the SOFT® mats: Take a sponge soaked in slightly soapy water and gently wash with a soft cloth. Do not use essential oils!

For the imperfect POWER® mats: you should clean your mat every 5 to 10 sessions. You can use a little cold soapy water and a soft light-colored cloth (microfiber type). WARNING, do not use hot water or cleaning sprays, nor essential oils.

How to choose the right size of clothing?

We have created a size guide to help you in this choice not always obvious. You will find it on each product page.

Where are the products made?

All our products are entirely imagined and developed by our team in Paris and Bordeaux! We prefer producing in Europe and we constantly seek to evolve, according to our  SMALL STEPS strategy.

Our clothes are made in Portugal from recycled materials or organic cotton.

The meditation cushions and bolsters, all filled with plant-based fiber or Kapok, are made with our partner in Poland. Their cover is made of OEKO-TEX certified cotton. The bricks are produced in Romania (from FSC certified Portuguese cork). The straps and bags are produced in China.

For the mats, it depends on the range:

The NATURAE® mats are made in Portugal from Portuguese cork and recycled rubber.

The SOFT® and POWER® mats are made in Germany with OEKO-TEX certified PVC.

The INTENSE® mats are produced in Ningbo, China, as close as possible to the production of natural rubber. The factories are SGS certified, guaranteeing the social and environmental conditions for production.

We also visit the factories once a year to make sure that the production complies with our social and environmental requirements.

Can the products be harmful to me?

Absolutely not. All of our products are non-toxic to your health. The products used are phthalate-free and do not contain latex (SOFT range). Our Super Spray is made with all 100% natural ingredients (but be sure to follow the directions for use on the label)

How does it work for custom mats?


A few things to know about your (future) personalized mat!

The colors between the screen and the final product received may vary ... and we (BAYA) can not be held responsible for these variations.

Customized products can take up to 7 weeks to arrive! It takes us time to produce your one-of-a-kind mats ☺️ And because of this, BAYA cannot be held responsible for a longer than usual delivery time on these custom products.

International deliveries are unfortunately not possible for these personalized products! We are working on it!

Customized mats cannot be returned, exchanged or refunded. They are unique, and with your image.

The prints are made in Germany, France, and China depending on the range. To learn more about the origin of the mats, you can refer to the tab "Where are they made?"

What are the Imperfects?

Some little things to know about the Imperfects:

These are products classified as "defective" by our supplier. We wanted to give them a second chance and allow you to test our products at a lower price.

The products of this category can have various "defects": quality of the printing, colors not in conformity with what is visible on the screen, framing of the printing, durability of the printing, durability of the material surface. In any case, they will still allow you to practice with peace :)

The products of this category are neither taken back nor exchanged.

How to offer a gift card?

1. Add this gift card to your cart and complete your order.

2. Click on "My Gift Cards" in the "My Account" section of our website.

3. Configure your gift card by filling in the first name of the lucky person, your first name and add (if you wish) a personalized note.

4. Choose to email it today, later, or save it as a pdf. 

It will be valid for one year from the date of purchase and can only be used on the BAYA website.

How do I use my e-gift card?


To use your e-gift card, simply enter your unique code in your shopping cart, in the "promotional code" field provided for this purpose.

The e-gift card can only be used once, by the person designated by the card issuer.

The gift card is valid for 1 year and cannot be combined with other offers.

The BAYA e-gift card is the only gift card accepted as a means of payment on the site. Other gift cards (Kadeo, etc.) cannot be used on the website.

ORDERS AND DELIVERY

What are the payments methods?

You can pay your order by:

  • Credit card (VISA, Master Card, Carte Bleue, American Express, and Maestro)
  • Paypal (by credit card or Paypal account)
  • In 3 times via ALMA starting from 150 € of purchase

Is my payment secure?

Thanks to our partners Stripe, Paypal, Alma, and 3D secure verification, all purchases are secure.

I need to modify or cancel my order, what should I do?


Unfortunately we cannot guarantee to change or cancel your order before it is shipped.

How to use my voucher?


If you have been informed by e-mail that a credit note has been made available in your customer account, here are the steps to follow : 

  1. Go to your customer account, "My Credits" tab
  2. Select: "Turn my rewards into a coupon"
  3. Copy your code to paste it into your cart the next time you make a BAYA purchase.
  4. The amount of your promotional code will be deducted from the total amount of products purchased.

Please note:

  • Your voucher can only be used by you, it is linked to your customer account.
  • Your credit is valid only once.
  • If you return a product, it will not be reactivated.

What are the delivery cost and times?

What is the shipping cost if I order using my gift card?

When you buy with a gift card, the shipping costs are not offered. The rule remains the same as for an order paid without a gift card.

Can my shipping address be different from my billing address?

When you place an order, you can add an address different from your shipping address by unchecking the box "Use the same address for billing. You can also modify your addresses in "My Account", by clicking on "My Addresses" and thus select an address for delivery and add a billing address.

Where is my package?

The tracking number of your package can be found in the "Order shipped" email that you received following your order. If you have not yet received it, it means that your order is being processed by our logistics department, you should receive it very soon.

You can also find the tracking number in your dedicated space, "My account", by clicking on the section "My orders". You can then access the list of your orders and their status.

My status does not update / My delivery tracking is not correct?

In case of inaccurate tracking number, or not updated status of your order, we invite you to contact us via our form.

What if I am not home when my package is delivered?


If you are not there on the day of delivery, we recommend that you check the carrier's tracking to see if a new delivery is scheduled or if your package has been dropped off at a partner relay point (or post office!).

What do I do if my order is lost by the carrier/if I am not delivered?

If you have a problem with your delivery, in most cases it is due to a flashing error and the package is delivered later.

Please also be aware that the current COVID-19 health situation is also affecting deliveries, and unfortunately, we cannot control these impacts.

It is possible that a guardian or neighbor may have received the package for you. Please ask around. ☺️

It is also possible that it was delivered to the nearest post office (even without a delivery notice).

You can also contact the Colissimo service at 09 72 72 12 13, giving them the tracking number of your package.

If however, the package was not found despite your efforts, contact us here so that we can find a solution that is favorable to you.

EXCHANGES AND RETURNS

How do I make a return or exchange?

Products can be returned within 14 working days and must be clean.

Exceptionally, all orders made between November 20th and December 30th, 2021, can be returned until January 15th, 2022.

In no case stained or damaged products can be taken back. The return costs are at the customer's expense.

The products must be returned in their original state (intact and complete), with their label attached for the products concerned. They must also be properly packaged to prevent damage during shipping.

All products are inspected upon return and are your responsibility until they reach our team.

EXCEPT for clothes where the first return is offered from France, and in the case of a defect on any product the return costs are covered by BAYA. In this case, we will provide you with a return slip. We cannot accept returns made in any other way.

To request a return, please contact us here, stating the reason of the return, your order number and photos of the defect if applicable.

The refund will be made within 10 days upon receipt of your package in our warehouse.

My package arrived damaged, what should I do?


We are really sorry! We invite you to contact us here with your order number and pictures of the defect so that we can solve this little problem very quickly!

How long does it take to get my money back?


When you return an order, the waiting period for your refund to be processed is one week. Once the refund is processed, depending on your bank, the transaction may take a few days to arrive on your account. It will therefore take up to 15 days for your refund to appear in your bank account.

Are the shipping costs covered if I make a return?


Shipping costs are not refunded. They are only covered if the return is justified by:

  • The receipt of a non-conforming product, which does match the initial order.
  • The receipt of a defective product.
  • Your first order of clothing for Metropolitan France.

In this case, we will provide you with a return slip. We will not be able to accept returns made in any other way.

How do I get my money back after a gift card purchase?


For returns of orders paid with an e-gift card, you will be compensated with a voucher that you can use on the website.

SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM

How does the sponsorship program work?


If you are sponsoring, you receive a reward of 10€ for each first order of the people you sponsor.

If you are sponsored, you get a free strap on your first order.

Who can benefit from the sponsorship program?

In order to sponsor, you must place an order of at least 40 € on our website (excluding Lifestyle).

To be sponsored, you must be a new BAYA customer. The offer is valid on your first order of minimum 40 € on our website (except Lifestyle products). The offer cannot be combined. The gift is neither exchangeable nor refundable.
